With over 15 years of experience working as an editor at Big 5 publishers, a literary agent, and a book packager, Maria knows the entire publishing and book-making process from stem to stern.

Previously, Maria was the Executive Editor of Book Packaging at a top New York literary agency, working with major brands, influencers, and Big 5 publishers to craft bespoke book projects, managing all aspects of book creation from authorial services to design to production. She began her career as an in-house editor, first at Atria/Simon & Schuster, then Harlequin Nonfiction and Adams Media, before becoming a literary agent and book packager in 2014.

As a former in-house editor, she has a keen sense of what book readers are really looking for, and she has over a decade of experience building lasting relationships with creators, bloggers, writers, and publishers. She prides herself on being very hands-on and enjoys working closely on every aspect of a book, from correcting punctuation to concepting endpapers.

She particularly enjoys working with creators, bloggers, photographers, illustrators, and businesses who understand how a thoughtfully produced, proudly shared book can grow their brands and their businesses. She has worked on New York Times bestsellers and with clients who have been winners or finalists for James Beard Foundation Awards and International Association of Culinary Professionals Awards, as well as Washington Post, Publisher’s Weekly, and national bestsellers.
